Jack Kitchen, the owner and founder of JAX Equipment, Inc., started as a forklift mechanic over 50 years ago when he was a young energetic family man. Fifteen years ago he sold his truck and used the money to start JAX equipment. With just one employee (Jack) and a wood burning stove to stay warm in the Pittsburgh winters, he managed to turn JAX Equipment into a corporation with seven employees and a furnace to stay toasty warm in these Pittsburgh winters.

Today JAX Equipment is a small, family run business. Recently Jax Equipment, Inc acquired Hyundai Fork Lift equipment, not because it's just a fork lift, but because Hyundai stands behind it's products (just like they stand behind there automotives).
